The UVSS is a computer based technology which uses high end electro mechanical together with cameras which are used to scan and capture the underside of a vehicle while static or in motion. It comes as an aid in detecting any form of a foreign body such as arms, ammunition, drugs, explosives etc, which might be hidden at the underside of the vehicles body. Once the camera captures the visual information it is processed in the system software, which in turn produces a real time high resolution image, depicting the view of the vehicles underside. Any suspicious undercarriage can be detected easily.

KEY COMPONENTS OF THE SYSTEM:
•    Scanning unit: the scanning unit comprises of Camera unit, lighting unit, Sensor unit.
•    The camera used for the purpose, is a high resolution color camera, for producing composite images
